About Emilee E. Landon

Emilee Elizabeth Landon was born and raised in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.  At a young age, Emilee's love for theatre began, following in the footsteps of her older brothers.  From then on, her journey and passion for the arts continued to grow.  At age 12, she began an 11 year journey with the local theatre company, the Peter Quince Performing Company.  Most of her theatrical experience would derive from this company, as it consisted of 12-23 year old members only.  This paved the way for Emilee to explore other areas of expertise not only in theatre, but in the arts itself.

Emilee's theatre career took flight upon entry to college at the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc in 2004.  In her two and a half years at this establishment, Emilee participated in nearly 20 productions, both onstage and off.  Her working with Dr. John Wright led her to earn the UW-Manitowoc Fine Arts Award for Theatre in 2006.  Upon taking a break from school, Emilee traveled to Madison, Wisconsin and worked with various theatrical companies, including the Mercury Players, the Sun Prairie Civic Theatre and Broom Street Theatre, where she was cast as the female lead in the premiere of Brian Wild's 2007 original work "Dork Side of the Moon." While her experience in Madison was short lived, her theatrical career was still rapidly progressing.

After Emilee returned to Manitowoc, she was involved in multiple productions with Dare to Dream Theatre, Masquers, and UW-Manitowoc.  In the summer of 2009, Emilee was granted the opprotunity to direct her first full length musical.  That August, her directoral debut of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" with the Peter Quince Performing Company opened.  With this very different switch of events, and this being Emilee's final year with the Peter Quince Performing Company, she decided to take her life in a new direction into the arts.

In the Fall of 2009, Emilee attended University of Wisconsin-Parkside with an intended major in Theatre Arts.  After a semester at this location, however, something still hadn't clicked.  For the Spring Semester of 2010, Emilee enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a major in Arts Management.  After only half a year of studying this new major, Emilee's goal is to eventually open a theatre with a possible fine arts exhibit for local and non-local artists.  She continues to grow through school and plans to earn her degree in Arts Management by the Spring of 2011.

Emilee currently resides in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Even at the young age of 24, she has been involved in over 70 productions in many different locations in Wisconsin. In the following year, Emilee aspires to audition for multiple productions, as well as work in other areas of the theatre to expand her knowledge and love for the arts. Emilee is currently rehearsing for UW-Manitowoc's production of Rent, in which she will be in the ensemble. She was also recently hired by the Manitowoc Public School District to direct two shows for the local Junior High Schools.  In her free time, Emilee enjoys music, dance, various films, reading screenplays, and working in all aspects of the theatre.
